Statement of Faith
We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God, and the ultimate authority for the believer in all matters of life (2 Tim. 3:16-17).
We believe that God is All-powerful, Sovereign , Holy and Loving (Psalm 147:5; Daniel 4:25; Ex. 15:11; Lev. 11:44, Ex. 15:13). We believe that God created all things, that life originated with Him and that He is the Sustainer of every living thing. (Gen. 1:1; Gen. 2:7, Psalm 145:17). We believe in a Triune God, one God in three persons: God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit (Isaiah 9:6, John 14:18; John 14:8-9).
We believe that Jesus is the Son of God. He was born of the virgin Mary in fulfillment to the Old Testament prophecies (Isaiah 7:14; Matthew 1:23). He is the Messiah, the promised Savior, God in human flesh (John 1:41; John 4:25). We believe Jesus was fully human but without sin. We believe Jesus came to save the lost. God sent His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life (John 3:16). We believe that Jesus died on the cross as the ultimate sin offering, carrying the sins of humanity, as the eternal atonement for sin. We believe that through His sacrifice we have been forgiven, reconciled with God the Father and granted eternal life with Him. We believe Jesus rose victorious on the third day, conquering death, sin and darkness (Luke 24:6-7; 1 Cor. 15:20) We believe that at the end of this age, Jesus will come back victorious to take with Him all those who belong to Him.
We believe the Holy Spirit is God. The Holy Spirit, the Counselor, was sent by God (John 14:16) to guide, to empower, to transform and to remind all believers of everything Jesus came to teach us (John 14:26) as we follow Him and as we are light for Him in this world. God dwells in the hearts of believers by His Holy Spirit (Acts 2:38). We believe the Holy Spirit equips the believers with different spiritual gifts for the building up of the Body of Christ, His Church (Romans 12:6-8; 1 Cor. 12:12; 1 Cor. 12:28-30).
We believe that humankind, man and woman, were created in the image of God (Gen. 2:7; Gen. 2:22; Gen. 2:27). We believe that the first man and the first woman, Adam and Eve, disobeyed God in the Garden of Eden and that through their rebellion, sin entered the world. (Gen. 3:6-7; Human beings are born with original sin. Our world is a broken world, affected by sin and all its consequences (Gen. 3:22; Rom. 3:23). We believe sin separates us from God and that it is solely through God’s provision in Jesus Christ that we are reconciled to God (Rom. 3:24-25; John 14:6; Acts 4:12).
We believe that salvation is by grace through faith (Ephesians 2:8-9). By God’s grace in Jesus Christ, we are offered forgiveness of sins. It is by believing in Jesus Christ as our personal Lord and Savior and by accepting His sacrifice on our behalf that we are saved (Romans 6:23; Romans 10:9; Hebrews 9:27-28).
We believe the Lord ordained for us to partake of the bread and the cup in remembrance of Him and what he accomplished on the cross (Matt. 26:26-28). We believe the Lord ordained for us to believe and then be baptized as an outward sign of our commitment to Him and new life in Him (Acts 8:34-36).
We believe the mission of the Church Universal here on earth is to make Jesus known until the Day He comes back in all majesty and power (Matthew 28:18-20).
